S.E.L.M.A. is our current research project at the intersection of classic ERP and modern AI. The idea behind it is as simple as it is powerful: an assistant that not only knows abas ERP but understands it - and that makes working with the system noticeably easier for your team.
Unlike cloud-based solutions, S.E.L.M.A. runs entirely on your own infrastructure. No data leaves the building, no sensitive information is handed over to third parties. For us, data protection is not an afterthought but the foundation.
We develop S.E.L.M.A. close to the day-to-day reality of our customers. What is being built here is not born in an ivory tower - it grows from real implementations, training sessions and support calls. On this page we take you along for the ride. S.E.L.M.A. mirrors the relevant parts of your abas ERP database into a local data store - deliberately selective. Which variables get imported is up to you: administrators use the frontend to pick exactly the fields S.E.L.M.A. is allowed to access. Everything else stays out. Only what is actually needed ends up in the assistant - no more, no less.
The tooling behind it is inspired by the tool architecture of modern AI agents such as Claude Code CLI. Each tool is a clearly defined building block with fixed inputs and outputs. But here is the real twist: this toolbox is not set in stone. Through a training request, S.E.L.M.A. can independently build new tools and put them to use right away. When things get too complex, a Human in the Loop steps in and completes the implementation.
S.E.L.M.A. is currently a study. The foundation is in place, the concept holds, the first tools are up and running. The next stage brings fine-grained permission management and complete audit logging - both mandatory before S.E.L.M.A. moves into productive environments. In parallel, we are expanding the toolbox in close coordination with selected customers who are willing to take this experiment on with us.
